During the times it would ordinarily be empty, he had it enrolled in our rental program and let it make money for him.
Ocean Edge is a tremendously popular vacation destination and rental demand is very high. Modern families no longer seek a rustic cottage by the shore. They want beautiful, well equipped vacation rentals that have all the comforts of home.
Because Ocean Edge Resort offers the unspoiled beauty of Cape Cod combined with superb recreational facilities, it is not surprising that our rental program is "sold out" every summer.
Most houses at Ocean Edge Resort average 9 - 11 weeks of occupancy per year. Some of our very popular condos are filled for 14 - 18 weeks.

How do they work?
Ocean Edge owners have a choice of three rental programs:
FOR HIGH INCOME AND WORRY FREE MANAGEMENT…The Comprehensive
Rental Management Program
This program is the Mercedes Benz of rental management and the backbone of our rental division. It provides you with maximum rental income and superb care for your home. Quite simple, we do it all. A member of our cleaning staff is assigned to your home for the season. She personally cleans your house and maintains detailed service records. The executive housekeeper also inspects your home on a weekly basis. We will coordinate with you to arrange for all repairs, routine maintenance, replacements and refurbishments. Our reservations staff will photograph your home and prepare a beautiful color view book.
This full season program is available from May to October. You may enroll for the entire season or any portion of it which suites your needs. The management fee for this program is 25% of the rental rate. Additional charges apply for maintenance and cleaning.
Because this program provides high annual income, comprehensive management and superior personal service, it is designed for the busy owner who wants to enjoy his home with a minimum of work, or for the investor owner who desires high occupancy and minimum involvement.
FOR ECONOMY AND FLEXIBILITY…The Real Estate Program
This is the standard no frills program for owners who manage their own property, but who would like help obtaining rental reservations. It is an open agreement, allowing you to list with us and with any other real estate company simultaneously. You determine the weekly rate for your home. You are responsible for cleaning and maintenance. This program is available from mid-June through mid-September. Our management fee for this program is 15% of the rental rate.
For seasoned rental owners this program provides a painless way to fill the season. No more staying home all spring to answer the phone, driving down to show the property, or wasted time spent chasing deposits.
FOR PERFECT PEACE OF MIND…The Guaranteed Rental Program
In this program you agree to provide us with a pre-determined block of at least four weeks of summer and we pay for these weeks in advance. Price is mutually determined in advance. A member of our cleaning staff is assigned to take beautiful care of your home and we will help coordinate any necessary repairs or maintenance. Management fees and cleaning charges are the same as for our
25% Comprehensive
Rental Management Program. The guaranteed program is available only during July and August, but can be combined with either of our other two programs for owners who also desire spring and fall rentals.
We feel this program is an ideal way to get to know us. It is perfect for owners who have been less than satisfied with other rental companies.
